Homemade Cream Soup (substitute for canned)

2 T butter
3 T flour
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup milk
Salt and pepper to taste

Optional:
3 T celery, sauteed
1 T onion, sauteed
2 mushrooms, chopped, sauteed
lemon juice
worcestershire
mayonnaise

Melt butter. Stir in flour until smooth. Add the chicken broth and milk, stirring to dissolve flour. Heat until thickened. Season to taste. Add optional ingredients.
