Baked Potato Soup

2 large baking potatoes
1/3 cup butter
1/3 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/4 tsp pepper
3 cups milk
1/2 cup sour cream
5 strips of bacon, cooked and crumbled
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Chopped green onions (optional)

Melt butter, stir in flour, salt and pepper until smooth. Gradually add milk, bring to a boil, cook and stir until thick. Remove from hyeat, whisk in sour cream. Add potatoes and let sit a minute to heat through. Garnish with crumbled bacon, cheese and green onions if desired.
