Sauce for meat or Vegetables

2 T butter
2 T flour
1 small shallot, minced
3/4 cup milk
1/4 cup white wine
4 oz cream cheese, softened
salt and pepper to taste
opt: 10 oz mushrooms, sauteed

Saute shallot in butter until soft. Stir in flour until snooth.
Add milk and wine, cook until thickened. Stir in cream cheese, cook until smooth.
Add optional mushrooms.

Use over vegetables, meat or pasta.
