Chili Onion Sauce

1 lb ground beef
2 large onions, chopped
8 oz tomato sauce
1/4 cup yellow mustard
1 T sugar (more or less to taste)
1 T apple cider vinegar
1 T chili powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup water (more or less as needed)

Brown ground beef, drain if fatty. Stir in onions to soften.
Add remaining ingredients and simmer 30 minutes.
