BBQ Sauce (updated 5/20/23)
Always experimenting and updating!

1 cup (8 oz) tomato sauce
1/2 cup red wine vinegar
1/3 cup brown sugar, more or less depending on desired sweetness
1 T molasses
1 T worcestershire or soy sauce
1 T yellow mustard
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp smoked paprika
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper, or to taste
1/2 tsp kosher salt, or to taste
few grinds of black pepper
opt: 1/4 tsp better than bouillon

Combine in saucepan, cook about 20-30 minutes or until desired thickness.


Easy Traditional BBQ Sauce

1 cup ketchup or tomato sauce
3 T brown sugar
1 T cider vinegar
1 T worcestershire
1 T prepared mustard
1/2 tsp salt
opt: red pepper, black pepper to taste
opt: dash liquid smoke

Combine all ingredients, heat briefly to dissolve sugar.


Tangy Fresh BBQ Sauce

1 T oil
1/4 cup minced onion
1 cup chili sauce or ketchup
1/3 cup water
2 T vinegar
1 T worcestershire
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
2 T brown sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp dry mustard
red, black pepper to taste

Saute onion in oil until translucent.
Add remaining sauce ingredients and simmer 20 minutes
