Easy Caesar Salad with optional Shrimp or Chicken

Romaine lettuce, rough chopped
Optional: 1 lb cooked shrimp or chicken

1 1/2 cups croutons
1/2 cup grated fresh parmesan
Freshly ground black pepper

Easy Dressing:

1/2 cup regular mayonnaise, preferably Hellman's
2 T water (more or less for desired thickness)
1 T red wine vinegar
1 garlic clove minced (note - instead of minced, I cut a clove of garlic in half and skewer both halves on a toothpick, submerge in dressing and remove before using)
1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup fresh grated Parmesan cheese
Salt, to taste

Combine dressing ingredients, preferably ahead of time for flavors to combine.

Toss romaine with some of the dressing. Optional: toss shrimp or chicken with some dressing.
Arrange on salad plate, top with additional parmesan, fresh ground pepper and croutons.
