Shrimp-Sausage Linguine in Pepper-Cream Sauce

1/2 pound sausage
1/2 pound shrimp, peeled, deveined
1 onion, cut in 1/8's
Red or green pepper, cut in chunks
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
Salt, pepper
8 oz linguine or fettucine, cooked
Fresh grated Parmesan cheese

Cook sausage until done. Add shrimp, cook until done. Remove from pan. Cook onion and pepper in sausage fat until browned (add olive oil, if needed), add garlic for last minute. Add chicken broth, simmer until reduced by half. Add cream, cook until mixture is thickened, add salt and pepper to taste. Stir in sausage, shrimp and linguine. Serve with parmesan cheese.
