Asian Pork Medallions

1 pound pork tenderloin, trimmed and cut crosswise into 8 pieces
1/2 tsp salt
1-2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp ginger, minced
2 tsp dark sesame oil

1/2 cup water
2 Tbsp orange marmalade or apricot jam
1 tsp soy sauce
1 Tbsp cornstarch dissolved in 1 Tbsp cold water

Sprinkle pork with salt. Combine garlic, ginger, and oil in large bowl. Add pork, toss to coat. Saute in hot pan 3 minutes on each side, or until done. Remove pork from pan, keep warm.
Add water, jam and soy sauce to pan, bring to a boil, simmer for a few minutes. Add cornstarch/water, stir until thickened. Spoon sauce over pork.
