Pizza Sauce

Cooked:
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 T olive oil
1 28 oz can crushed tomatoes (I like Pomi boxed)
1 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp basil
opt: pinch of crushed fennel
1/2 tsp salt

Saute garlic in oil 30 seconds. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer over low heat 20 minutes until thickened. Let cool before using on pizza.


No cook:
1 28 oz can crushed tomatoes (I like Pomi boxed)
2 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried basil
1/4 tsp garlic powder, more to taste
opt: 1/4 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp salt

Combine all ingredients, let sit for flavors to blend


These make enough for a few pizzas depending how much sauce you like to use. I freeze in portions in the size of what I use for one pizza.
