Pasta with Oil and Garlic
1 pound pasta
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
2- 4 garlic cloves, minced
basil
Salt and freshly ground pepper
Opt: parmesan cheese
Cook pasta in salted water, drain.
In same pan used to cook pasta, heat the oil and garlic over medium heat just until fragrant, 30-60 seconds.
Remove pan from the heat and add basil, salt & pepper to taste.
Return pasta to pan, stir until pasta is coated and well mixed with sauce.
Top with parmesan, if desired and serve immediately.
