Creamy Noodles

2 T butter
2 T flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup heavy cream
8 oz noodles
opt: parsley

Cook noodles according to package instructions, drain.
Melt butter, add flour and salt and cook, stirring, until smooth. Add broth, cook over med heat, whisking until smooth and thickened. Add cream, taste for seasoning.
Add noodles and stir.

Optional - saute 1 cup celery, 1 cup onion and sage leaves with butter, or stir in cooked veggies or meat with noodles.
