Cheesy Broccoli Ham Pasta

12 ounces dry macaroni or rotini
1/4 cup butter (1/2 stick)
1/4 cup flour
2 1/2 cups whole milk
1/2 tsp dry mustard powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
salt and pepper to taste
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded Havarti, Gruyere, Monterey Jack or other good melting cheese
1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
3 cups broccoli florets, cooked to crisp tender
opt: chopped red pepper, sauteed
2 cups cubed cooked ham
Topping:
1 cup fresh bread crumbs
1 T melted butter
1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and rinse under cold water.
Melt butter over medium heat in a large saucepan. Whisk in flour and cook for 2 minutes while stirring. Slowly whisk in the milk and seasonings. Cook over medium heat stirring until thickened. Remove from heat and add in the cheeses, stir until melted.
Toss cheese sauce, pasta, broccoli, (opt red pepper) and ham together. Pour into a sprayed 13x9 pan. Combine topping ingredients and sprinkle over macaroni.
Bake at 400 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or just until hot - do not overcook.
