Cormeal Oat Pancakes

1/2 cup cormeal (can also use whole wheat flour)
1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 cup buttermilk
1 T oil
1/2 cup oats

Beat egg with buttermilk and oil.
Mix together cornmeal, flour, salt, soda and brown sugar. Add to wet ingredients. Stir in oats, adding more milk if too thick.
Pour scant 1/4 cup batter on preheated, lightly greased griddle or pan until bubbly and underside is browned, flip, cook until second side is done.
