Apple Cobbler-Crisp
Source: loosely adapted from Land 'O Lakes

7-8 large cooking apples, peeled, cored, sliced
squeeze fresh lemon juice
3/4 cup sugar
2 T flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp fresh ground nutmeg
Pinch salt

Topping:
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
2 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp salt
2 eggs
2/3 cup butter, melted

Toss apple slices with lemon juice.
Whisk together sugar, flour, spices and salt, stir into apples. Place in ungreased 13x9 baking dish.
For topping, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and eggs in bowl, beat until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over apples.
Pour melted butter over topping.
Bake at 350 for 45-55 minutes until lightly browned and apples are tender.
Serve with ice cream if desired.
Makes 12 servings.
