Snickerdoodles
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs, room temp
1 tsp vanilla
2 3/4 cups flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup sugar
2 T cinnamon
Cream together butter and 1 1/2 cup sugar, beat in eggs, one at a time. Beat in vanilla.
Whisk together dry ingredients, stir into creamed mixture. Roll into 1 inch balls.
Combine 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon. Roll dough balls in mixture, arrange 2 inches apart on ungreased sheet.
Bake at 400 for 8-10 minutes.
