Chocolate Candy

3 T unsweetened cocoa
2 T unsalted butter
2 T heavy cream
1/4 cup sugar

Choice of:
1 T peanut butter (for more solid candies)
OR
2 T cream cheese (for more truffle-like candies)

1/4 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Melt butter, stir in cocoa until smooth.
Mix in cream, sugar, peanut butter or cream cheese, stir until smooth. Remove from heat
Stir in vanilla and nuts.
Drop by spoonfuls on waxed paper or candy papers and refrigerate until firm.


Candy #2

1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup peanut butter
2 cups assorted crunchies - nuts, pretzel pieces, chow mein noodles, etc.

Melt chocolate chips and peanut butter in microwave at 30 second intervals until smooth.
Stir in crunchies.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto wax paper. Let cool and harden.
Makes 7 dozen
