Bake Sale Brownies
Source: Adapted from ATK Family Cookbook

1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, cut in chunks
3 oz unsweetened chocolate, chopped
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
2/3 cup flour

Melt butter and chocolate together in heavy saucepan. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
Whisk the sugar, eggs, vanilla, baking powder and salt together in large bowl until combined. Whisk in the melted chocolate mixture until smooth. Stir in the flour until no streaks remain.
Scrape the batter into an 8x8 pan that has been lined with foil and sprayed with cooking spray.
Bake at 350 for 22-27 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into center comes out with just a few crumbs attached.
Let cool completely, remove brownies in foil, cut into squares.
