Whisky Sours
Source: Bar 288 Le Meurice (from Barefoot Contessa on Food Network)

1 cup whiskey
1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 3-4 lemons)
1/4 cup sugar syrup (see note)
4 whiskey soaked cherries

Fill a large cocktail shaker with ice, the whiskey, lemon juice and sugar syrup and shake for a full 30 seconds.
Strain into chilled cocktail glasses and top each drink with a cherry.
4 servings


Note: To make the sugar syrup, bring 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar to a boil, and simmer until the sugar is completely dissolved. Chill before using.
