Lemonade Iced Tea

8 teabags
12 cups water. divided
1 1/2 cups sugar, or to taste
1 cup fresh lemon juice
Boil 4 cups of the water and steep teabags for 5 minutes, remove teabags and discard.
Stir in sugar until dissolved.
Add remaining 8 cups water and lemon juice, chill.
