Italian Style Stuffed Peppers
2 large bell peppers
1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup italian bread crumbs
pinch dried oregano
1 egg
1-2 T marinara sauce
1 1/2 - 2 cups marinara sauce
shredded cheese
Cut peppers in half, or leave whole, clean the inside.
Mix stuffing ingredients, gently stuff peppers, do not over fill. Make meatballs with any remaining mix. Cover with marinara sauce, Simmer on stove or bake at 325 degrees about 1-1/2 hours.
Top with shredded cheese and bake until melted
